I have a 30" version, and you should be fine, but the shells you bought are far superior to any steel in my opinion. I smoked the geese in Canada with that exact load. If you go to a full choke tube, make sure you get the Remington one that's good for lead or steel.

I agree 100%. Original Hevi-Shot, Remington HD, and the Winchester heavy stuff are all also good, and a bit cheaper and easier to find than the Kent stuff of late. I don't know what happened to Kent. I like theirs the best, but they went sky high and have gotten hard to find. I got a good deal on the Remingtons and bought 400 and have been real pleased so far.
