I've had a couple guys tell me over the years that they've seen Remington pumps and autoloaders marked "Long Range" and I've always been really curious about it. Has anybody ever seen this? If so on what kinds of guns and how were they marked exactly?

I have heard this term used in regard to Shotguns, but not rifles.
If memory serves me right, I think in reference to Model 31's.
I however, have never seen one, so can't say just how they were marked.
