Stock for older 1100
Stock for older 1100
I have 1100 12 gauge that was bought for me on my 16th birthday in 1975. I wanted to replace the stock, but all the stocks I have tried will not fit. I have been told that some changes were made somewhere along the line and that is why no new stocks will fit. Can anyone put some light on this for me. My Dad has one also that he got in 1965 and same problem.
Re: Stock for older 1100
That's strange, I have a 1963 and a 1966, and I have yet to try a stock that didn't fit. You may have issues with the barrel channel on the fore end being too narrow for standard RemChoke barrels, but not the light contour versions. You do not need to use the metal spacer on the butt stock with the synthetic stocks either. Where are you running in to fit issues?
What could have happened... did.

I don't know what the problem is. 11-87 butt stocks also fit both of mine just fine. Do you have the stock bearing plate in place?
