The receiver ring was tapped for a peep site in those years. There was a scope mount produced to use the rear site and those holes, but its been 30 years since I've even seen one, but haven't looked very hard. I think it would be appropriate to have a smith drill and tap if you wanted to scope it. Enjoy her-I'd snap one up if I ran across one!
