Hi guys.
In an attempt to recapture a part of my youth I found a decent Model 511 recently and brought it home.
I somehow forgot what the trigger pull on these was/is like. I swear this thing has an 8lb trigger pull. I have been doing some reading regarding the problem and some say not to do any stoning etc., as removing material can result it a pull that's worse, and accelerates wear.
This one was manufactured Jan/'47, so it is a pre-litigious society model.
Does anyone know of a way to lighten/smooth this thing out.
It breaks cleanly, with little or no creep, but it takes a hefty squeeze to make it break.
Any help would be appreciated.
