Hi,
Not new to guns, but new to the forums. I have a Remington Model 1-1/2 Sport .38-40 rem Hepburn. I know nothing about this gun and cannot find any information on it. I'm looking for some information on it or a place to find information. I've done several web searches and have found nothing.
Awesome sight.

Remington Model 1-1/2 sport history
Re: Remington Model 1-1/2 sport history
Basically a slightly thinner action than the #1 and generally chamberings were confined to shorter length cartridges. In other words, no buffalo calibers. See a lot of them in Rimfire chamberings .
Roy Marcots book and Frank De Haas Single Shot Rifles should catch you up.

Yep. Consider it an early Christmas!!!!!! Nice Hepburn.
Re: Remington Model 1-1/2 sport history
Early Christmas...? A lot of legwork...? I'm not too swift so maybe you could explain.
What is the difference between a #1-1/2 and a #3 ? They appear the same to me.
Thanks for the suggestion on the books. Is there a good source to purchase them from. Online-? Barnes & Noble -?
Thanks again for all the help. Gun owners are the greatest people.

Hepburns are a completely different design. Search here, google, and then ask what you may.
Look for books written by Roy Marcot. You can find them on the Remington Society webpage.
Ned Roberts Book, the Single Shot Rifle
De Haas on Single Shots
You should be able to google and get the info you desire....if not com'on back.
