Model 12 CS
My brother just purchased this pump action .22 Remington Special from an old friend and asked me to find history on this rifle, he isn't computer savvy. The serial #is 220271, has RW and all the Pederson patent info on barrel along with Remington Arms/Union Metalic Cartridge Company and Remington Works Ilion, NY. All history on this particular rifle is appreciated, it is in great condition, considering the age.

Re: Model 12 CS
The line thats a collectors nitemare. " Its in great shape for its age ". Well the 12CS was introduced in 1914, but your brothers rifle shows a manufacture date of 1913. It could have been made mid 1913 and sat at the factory till introduction the following year. or someone pieced two model 12s together. Not uncommon. The 22 Remington Special is the same as the 22 WRF cartridge. The 12s were discontinued in 1936. RW stands for Remington Works.
