788/700 question

Can anyone tell me if the barrel threads on an M700 are the same as the M788?
I am thinking I'd like to move a barrel from one to the other if possible.
Any other issues with a swap like this that I need to know about?
Other than having the headspace checked/adjusted as necessary after the swap. I am aware of that one.
