Having made the decision to have Briley put thin-wall chokes in my 1100 Tournament trap barrel, I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with their new X2 extended thin-wall tubes. Their regular tube is a flush mount but now they offer extended tubes as well (for additional cost).

Briley thin-wall X2 extended chokes
Re: Briley thin-wall X2 extended chokes
I have some of those. My experience with all choke tubes is that they do exactly what they are supposed to do, based on the relationship between the bore and the choke, and that they shoot where they are supposed to if the installation is done correctly. I find Briley's does quality work, and all their tubes exhibit a high quality fit and finish. The extended tubes make for easy changing, and they don't seem to shoot loose excessively although all I ever do is screw them in finger tight. I check them a lot, but they aren't really loose if you get my meaning. You can find people who work cheaper, and while there are a couple who appear to do as good a job, I don't think you can find any who do better.

Re: Briley thin-wall X2 extended chokes
No experience with the extended models, but I have a Briley thin wall system in my M31. With the steel shot choke, it is still my favorite duck gun. I second Virginian's motion.
Re: Briley thin-wall X2 extended chokes
I already have had some experience with Briley's flush mount thin-wall chokes. I had Briley put them in my Citori 28ga. I bought that gun with fixed chokes. Briley did a beautiful job with it and I was very pleased to be able to shoot skeet with it at last. I use X2 extended Carlson tubes in my 12ga and 20ga Citoris and they pattern beautifully. I'm glad to hear that someone has experience with the thin wall extended tubes. I will specify those rather than the flush mount ones.

Re: Briley thin-wall X2 extended chokes
I have the thinwall extended for my 28 gauge 1100, and I did have them in a SxS I sold also. I also have flush thinwall tubes for when I go hunting. The birds don't fly at a specified range like Sporting Clays so no point in changing a lot.
