1100 Tournament Trap Barrels

Post by ddsflyer »

I have an early '80s 1100 Trap-T (Tournament grade) with the 30" full choke step rib barrel. #9612?. Does anyone know if there is an identical barrel made with Remchokes? I would really like the flexibility to use more open chokes at short ranges as well as the option of extended choke tubes. The replacement Remington 1100 30" VR RC barrel may or may not fit but the rib looks different. My other alternative would be to have Briley thin-wall chokes fitted. The later models Remington dedicated 1100 trap guns also appear to have the lower profile rib. They may also use the 11-87 style bolt. Also, possibly, if anyone has or knows of a #9614 barrel I could buy?

Couldn't find anyone who had a 9614 barrel. I decided to send the barrel to Briley for their thin wall choke tubes. They make X-2 extended choke tubes that fit the thin wall format and should pattern well.

Briley does good work, but I think Mike Orlen is as good, cheaper, and faster.
