Yes and no, within gauge and series (standard and LW/LT). The stock matched the receiver, but the hole is bigger and the recess is shallower on 1100/11-87 stocks last time I looked. I have heard the holes are now the same size, but they didn't use to be. You will need to drill the recess deeper or get a longer bolt for an 870.
What could have happened... did.
