Model 24 manufacture date

I was just given a Remington model 24 semi automatic .22LR rifle yesterday.

From everything I have read manufacture stopped in 1935. I did find some claiming a few hundred being made between 1935-1938.

But the barrel code on the rifle is HA which should be March of 1939.

The barrel is stamped with the serial number of the rifle so I'm assuming it is the original barrel.

Was the model 24 still being made as late as 1939?

As a side note this is the dirtiest gun I have ever seen. I don't think the action has ever been taken apart for cleaning until I got it.

Never mind, just looked again with some magnification. It's a BA, not an HA. So that makes it January 1932 manufacture.
