12 A resto.

Post by Atila »

Hello all

I have an old 12A from my grandfathers collection of assorted guns.I would assume well used maybe a little worn in the barrel but I am going to clean it up and put back the missing pieces. From what I have seen here it was made 1916 or1917 by cereal / production number. On the under side of the receiver is stamped RW and below that is 3979xx.The little gun is covered with lots of other little stamps and marks, haven't found out what all of those are yet.

I have a original field service manual I'll scan it.

I see what you mean. Try going to this more general link and pick the one(s) you need.
In the list, it's in there as a Remington 12 shotgun, but it's actually the .22 rifle. (I downloaded it again last night to see what it actually was)
I don't know who this guy is, but due to the warnings on that page, he's a little "touchy" about people downloading large numbers of files from his site. So, use it sensibly.

I don't believe in bandwidth limits, he should get a better hosting company ;)

That's a crusty copy of the owners manual not really much good for anything on repair side. I emailed a copy to Atilia.
I should scan it again (not so crooked) :) and put it someplace on the site.
