Hi,
This is my first post and question: Is the 700 BDL drilled and tapped for a scope?
I know it has open sights but what would one do if one wanted to put a scope on this rifle? I would like a rifle with open sights but I would also like to be able to install a scope without too much hassle. Or am I better off getting a CDL or some other model and having open sights installed by a gunsmith?
Please note, I know nothing about firearms but am looking to get a rifle. My brother-in-law, who I swear was born with a gun in his hand, said that I should get a Remington - so here I am.
Cheers.

Yes the BDL model is drilled and tapped for a scope. The BDL, CDL and the ADL all have the same 700 action.
