Remington 770 pillar & glass bedding

Post by slimmyslim »

I ordered my Miles and Gilbert bedrock bedding kit from Midway USA. I plan on glass bedding the rifle this weekend also plan on pillar beddding. I was wondering if anybody has bedded their Remington 770. I went to the range and shoot around 3 inch groups with core lokt 150 grain bullets. I believe i should get better groups after pillar and glass bedding the action.

Personally I would try at least 4 differant kinds of ammo before you start digging at your stock. Im sure it shot a lot better then that before it left the factory. I have never, and would never bed the stock. and have never had a problem with grouping. With a 700 in every caliber before 1972, and a few after, and none of them bedded there is no way I have that much luck.

That is correct 700 do group better than 770. That's why i plan on bedding. Good tip on trying different ammo i wished i would have tried that before now.
