Hi, I picked up a nice 1969 Nylon 66 that someone had removed the sights and installed a scope.
I found a brand new rear sight, with rivit.
It seems pretty straight forward on how to install it, but I was wondering if there are any pitfalls I should look out for when doing the job.

Avery 53.....the rear sight on a Remington Nylon 66 is attached to the receiver cover with that rivet you mentioned from the factory. I would be careful how you re-attach the new sight you have as far as clearances go when you drill for the rivet attachment and how you put the receiver cover back on. I would look at someone else's Nylon 66 and/or contact the folks at NylonRifles.Com for further.
