Picked up another #1 Rolling Block Sunday, and it's been nicely converted to .22 rimfire. Wondered if anyone had ever seen an extractor setup like this before. It works flawlessly, and beautifully engineered design!

Nice! Any indication of what the original caliber was?
Hi I also have a similar rolling block to yours there are some differences , The octagonal shape in your picture on top of the chamber is smooth. Also above the S plate on the left side I have a wire slot in which a 1/2 inch ring slides back and forth, within the wire slot. It is not a take down model 4. It's not in the greatest of shape. The only serial number that I have found on it is a J-shape followed by a gap then Y35 is stamped on it. { J Y35 } Could this be a boy scout ??? model Unfortunately the stock and arm wood is missing. Is it possible to find replacements? I did notice on the patent stamp that the month indicated was OCTR R-for Ring ???
Any information would be appreciated , by anyone , Yours truly Valerio valintin@colba.net
