New Model Navy serial number

hello all.
I bought a New Model Navy having serial number 44980, conversion to 38RF. I do not see a cartouche on the grips . Can you tell me the approximate date of manufacture please ? Were all of the Remingtons used in the Civil War stamped ?

Your gun was made in 1875 and was not a Civil War Gun. Remington Navies never were stamped with a cartouche and if you find one with one it has been faked. Jay Huber RSA
