Re: 1875 Grade 1 (I believe) that followed me home

You definitely have a model 1875 and not a model 1873. And I agree with researcher that your shotgun in that condition is not found that often. Very nice purchase!

Re: What appears to be a 12ga Double Barrel Pistol

You have a Remington Model 1889 Grade 1 double barrel made in 1905. The stock has been modified into a pistol configuration. Your shotgun is missing the barrels and fore end.

Re: Remington Model 11 16ga

Do you have the barrel date code? Located on the left side of the barrel just in front of the receiver? Also any pictures would be helpful.

Re: mystery numbers on 1875 shotgun

It does look like a 1878 Heavy Duck Model but I believe it is a grade 4 with that much engraving. Does the barrel have the dolls head extension that fits into the receiver? This would confirm a Model 1878 or 1879, but by the size of the bolsters I would be willing to bet it is a Heavy Duck. As for ...

Have you tried Numrichs (Gun Parts)? If you don't see the parts listed give them a call as they don't update their website to often.

Re: Remington 141 Game Master Age by Serial Number

Can you share a picture of the barrel date code? Unfortunately the RSA does not have an extensive serial number list for production dates. The RSA was never allowed full access to the production records from Remington.
