Do you have the barrel date code? Located on the left side of the barrel just in front of the receiver? Also any pictures would be helpful.

It does look like a 1878 Heavy Duck Model but I believe it is a grade 4 with that much engraving. Does the barrel have the dolls head extension that fits into the receiver? This would confirm a Model 1878 or 1879, but by the size of the bolsters I would be willing to bet it is a Heavy Duck. As for ...

Have you tried Numrichs (Gun Parts)? If you don't see the parts listed give them a call as they don't update their website to often.

Can you share a picture of the barrel date code? Unfortunately the RSA does not have an extensive serial number list for production dates. The RSA was never allowed full access to the production records from Remington.

It sounds like you have a model 4 rolling block by the serial number. Pictures would help identification.
