Hi Daniel
Ah! Just found the original RIA page for my DD:
https://www.rockislandauction.com/detai ... -derringer Serial is stated as 2209... which puts it made just after the 3rd version of the first model?

Re: Derringer Model 95 Research Project
And yes, this is the earlier Double Derringer, not a Model 95 from 1888 onwards.

Re: Derringer Model 95 Research Project
Yes I thought the triple zero would be odd for a batch number. I am yet to get this gun in hand as it only recently arrived in Perth from the US with 5 1911A1 and a SOE contract Inglis. Under Australian law it has to be held by Border Force and transferred to a transferring dealer pending adding to ...

Derringer Model 95 Research Project
Is there a research project on the Model 95 Derringer re 'serial numbers'? I know they did not have serial numbers, but batch numbers. I just want to add mine to any database that is being compiled. Batch number is 000. Description from Rock Island Premiere Auction in May 2024: The design was ...

Re: Remington 1875 - No barrel address
Thanks Bill. I did look on the loading gate, but may have missed it. Would it be on the inside of the gate?

Re: Remington 1875 - No barrel address
Thanks aardq. Further scrutiny does show a faint barrel address, especially with sun glint or with jeweler's loupe.
Any ideas on supplies of .44 Remington BP cartridges?

Remington 1875 - No barrel address
I have a Remington 1875 serial 10234 with no barrel address. Should this be a concern? The Remington is in very good condition and looks all original with consistent patina. Obviously an early model with pinched post front sight and no calibre markings. I can post more pics later if needed.

Remington Elliot U/O Derringer - Type I Late Production
I recently acquired a Remington Elliot U/O Derringer Type I Late Production (Model 2) - two line 'E. REMINGTON & SONS' address with the 'ELLIOT’S PATENT DEC 12TH 1865' patent marking and with manual ejector. Near mint with all the original nickel finish. The gun has seven small barely visible n ...
