Looking for either original or after market steel buttplate and screws for a model 12A. Butt stock has the curved butt with a notch, so need the curved buttplate with the steel notch. Any help with this would be most appreciated. You can email me at:

There were two different butt plates for the 12-C. The odd one was used near serial #14,000. M/12s made before and after that used the same one. If your stock is on a 12A it has probably been replaced so the serial number probably won't help. I checked nearly 1,000 M/12s while doing research for the book and found only one with the odd butt plate so the odds are slim that yours needs it.
