My mod 37 rimfire has no code date on the barrel. How can I tell by the Serial number on the receiver?

Re: Mod 37 yr. of Manufacture
Interesting.
I've never seen a serial list for these, I just looked on the Remington site and the said they were made until 1955, I thought they were only made until 1940. 12,200 over that many years seems odd to me. Anyhow they originally had a barrel band that was eliminated in 1938 if that's any help, if not I know nothing!

Thanks David. The ser.# is 019xx. It was Mike Walker's personal rifle. I have documentation and the August 1994 Precision Shooting magazine that shows a photo of it.

It is a very nice rifle and am fortunate to own it.
