Model 141 worth?

hello all, i have a model 141 in 30 rem cal left to me from my father. i would like to sell it but do not know what to ask for it. its in prestine shape blueing is excellent shape hardly any wear on the spiral mag tube. i would appreciate any help?

The general rule is they don't assess values here.

Honestly, you have given very little information to even come close to giving a fair value.
Good pictures is a start.
One BIG question is has it been refinished?
What kind of sights does it have?
Has it been drilled and tapped for a scope mount?
Has the wood been cut, sanded, or refinished?
etc...

You might check out some auctions on places like gunbroker or auctionarms to see what they are selling for there. That will give you an idea.

Generally, $200-500, with a LOT of variables.

Expect to get about half the actual value if you try to sell it to a gun/pawn shop.

thank you, it has open sights, no peep. not drilled for scope and i dont think its been refinished.

It always makes me sad to see people selling off the things that someone, who has passed on, left them.......thinking they would keep and preserve them for posterity. If the original owners actually knew what was going to happen to them, they would/could have sold them, themselves, and reaped the benefits while they were still alive.

I sold a nice one in 35 rem. a few weeks ago for $400. Unless it were to be something special that should be close. Hope this helps c
