Re: Remington 1100 Type A Butt Plate Insert Black

I'm not positive what part you are looking for, but I think I do. Try either the factory direct or https://jackfirstinc.com/product-catego ... es/page/5/. Scroll down towards the bottom of the page in the link.

Re: Model 341 bolt

Make sure all ammo is removed.

Lift the bolt handle, pull the trigger and hold to the rear, pull the bolt rearward till it exits the receiver.

Reassembly is the reverse. Hold the trigger and insert bolt. The bolt must be fully cocked for complete installation. If the carrier is in the way then ...

Re: Remington 51 early production

I don't if there is any additional value just because it's an earlier manufacture, tho people are attracted to early guns rather than later guns. Check some of the current sites for a current value estimate, asking price is not necessarily the selling price.

Re: Remington Model 33

It's not uncommon to read reports of the Model 33 not having a serial number. I don't know the reason, serial numbers might have been included at a later date while the early guns might not have been numbered. Prior to 1968 serial numbers were not required in the US.

Re: Dating a Nylon 66

The Made in Canada stamp changes things a bit. The rifle appears to have additional stamps, these might be a Canada only method of marking and cataloging. Most of the Canadian made rifles happened in the 1960's, the 1959 stamp might indicate year but I just don't know enough on that topic to say for ...

The adjustable choke was added after it left the factory. The Full choke was on the original barrel.

Re: Help identifying rare Remington 870 Wingmaster (possibly factory error)

The "W" suffix in the serial number indicates 16ga. If the barrel truly is not 12ga then it is mismarked, if it is 12ga then an incorrect barrel was installed on the frame.

Re: Rem Model Mohawk-48 & earlier barrels

The Model 11 is a completely different gun, there is no interchange with parts between the two models. The Mohawk-48 was made from 1949 to 1960.

There is speculation that the Mohawk-48 used up the remaining inventory of parts from the Model 11-48 line prior to the introduction of the Model 1100 ...
