hmm...just had an epiphany, What if that 7 is really a Z or a z.
Capital Z is 1954 but that doesn't fit. BUT lower case z is 1975. That fits. That would mean Jan or Nov, 1975. That makes much more sense.
Thoughts, anyone else ?

760 with sparse date code stampings
So I just got done getting an old lefty 760 refurbed for my brother, who inherited it from his FIL. As a gift to him, I put a on a scope and sighted it in. Now, I am on Uncle Mike's web site to get one of those sling mounts that goes in the end of the pump handle. I am not a fan of putting pressure ...

olskool,
"what caliber is it? is it 25,30,32, or 35,,,,,,,,,,,,"
Sorry, don't check this forum too often.
It's a 35. I was shooting good old Remington Cor-Lokt 200 grain. While I'm a big fan of Hornady's Lever Evolution ammo for my newer 7600 in 35 Remy, this old gun will get nothing but ...

92 year old Remington Model 14 brings home the Venison
Picked this up a little over a year ago off of huntingpa.com forum. Finally spent some time in the field with her. I missed/grazed a doe on Thursday, which proved your never too old to relearn some of the fundamentals of hunting and gun handling. In that encounter, I remembered why you need to take ...

Re: Remington Gamemaster 760C 30.06
RamboRonJ,
Actually your best bet is to google it up and find recent auctions at gunbroker & gunsamerica and such. Remember that gunbroker tends to be a bit higher than local pricing.
Two from PA sold off gunbroker in the last 30 days (use the advanced search, Completed Items tab) for $550 & 519 ...

My new Model 14
Recently picked up a Remington model 14 in 35 Rem. from a fellow on the huntingpa forum, and I have a few questions.
1) After researching the postings here and elsewhere, it appears to have the barrel stampings indicating it was manufactured in January of 1928, but the serial # range is in the ...
