Re: 722 "B" question

thanks for the reply.
nobody here has a bubble to burst, we all know that isn't a factory stock.
The fella trying to sell it to me for double what it's worth is the only one clinging to the factory myth.

Re: 722 "B" question

it does help Den,thanks.

Unfortunately the current owner seems to think it's worth $800 in spite of the current Blue Book value of an original 80% (his grading) condition firearm.

Re: 722 "B" question

I'm thinking of buying this rifle.

I've been told it is 80% but only have 3 pictures to go by...

According to my Blue Book a factory BDL in .244 at 80% is $500

so how would this stock affect the overall value of the rifle?

722 "B" question

OK folks,
I need some expert opinions regarding whether this rifle is wearing factory B wood.
The current owner says yes and that Remington confirmed it.
What say you all?
TIA!

Re: Remington 14 1/2~44-40 DC marked...value?

looks aren't everything.

This ol' gal hits cans all day to 100yds as long as the wind is light

The serial was entered previously via this site.

The ones listed on GB are owned by dreamers imo.

thanks for the replies.

It is one of the Dominion of Canada marked rifles.
serial number is C464xx
The bore is shiny with sharp rifling
It functions well mechanically and is an accurate shooter
Finish is mostly turning a brown patina with ...

Re: CAXXX marked cartridge conversions

Thanks for the reply.
my revolver is centerfire, having had the hammer reworked long ago.
Wasn't it only the first conversions done under the Rollin White patent that were in .46 rimfire, and the later conversions in several other calibers, including 44Rem and 44-40?
If one can believe the fella I ...

CAXXX marked cartridge conversions

Having trouble finding any info on the CAxxx stamped Remington cartridge conversions.
I have read it called a "unit" marking but that is all I can find.
Does anyone know for certain what the CAxxx stamp is about?
Mine is a NMA with a 5 shot cylinder complete with a factory ejector assembly in what I ...

760/7600 stock question

I'd like to put a synthetic stock set on my 760 for hunting to save the wood.I can get Remington oem synthetic furniture for the 7600 at a good price.
Does anyone know if I will run into any issues with fit?
I don't foresee any problems but would like first hand feedback if I can get it.
